At the opening ceremony, Carrie Lam, Chief Executive of Hong Kong SAR, said that cooperation between Hong Kong and Guangzhou in finance, entrepreneurship, education, cross-border infrastructure and other areas has been fruitful. With the further development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA), the relationship between these two core cities of the GBA will be closer.

Guo Yonghang, acting mayor of Guangzhou, pointed out that the exhibition is of great significance to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to China and highlight the historical origins and integration of Hong Kong and Guangzhou.

According to Chen Huakang, Director General of the Local Chronicle office of People's Government of Guangdong Province: Guangdong will continue to promote other cities in the Pearl River Delta to hold such exhibitions with Hong Kong and further strengthen the cultural cooperation and exchanges of the GBA.
